Enduro Legend Antoine Meo (Honda) has returned to the FIM International Six Days of Enduro (ISDE), competing in the Club team competition for a special cause with France’s Team Lozere AMV.

As a four-time winner with France’s FIM World Trophy team, Meo’s place in history with the FIM ISDE is well documented.

But for 2019, a return to Portugal – the country he first tasted FIM ISDE success in 2009- holds an important meaning in his heart.

Our club team is here to celebrate our good friend Christian Boulet,” says Meo. “Racing for France in the 1999 edition in Portugal he crashed, ultimately losing the use of his legs.

With the FIM ISDE returning to Portugal, we felt the time was right to honour a great guy like Christian – he’s here also as acting manager!

For a multi-time FIM ISDE winner, competing in the Club category offers welcomed change of perspective for Meo.

It’s different to race in Club,” tells Meo. “We are some of the last riders on to the special tests and the conditions are so rough and difficult compared to when arriving there first.

It’s giving me a much greater respect to these guys – they are the real heroes of this race. They battle the mud, dust, rocks and beaten trails with such passion – it’s incredible and I love it.
