Yesterday’s decision by Race Direction to postpone the initial action in the 2019 FIM Enduro Vintage Trophy (EVT), for reasons outside of their control, means the one hundred and twenty plus riders from ten nations will enjoy a packed schedule today.

Competing across four different machine classes – C72 / C76 / C79 / EV0 86 the riders will have to pilot their bikes from yesteryear around today’s loop of one hundred and ten kilometres with a running time estimated just under three and a half hours. The opening day for the FIM Enduro Vintage Trophy will come to a close with the rescheduled acceleration test.

First introduced at the ISDE in Spain back in 2016, the competition for enduro bikes from years gone by has also enjoyed sharing the same stage as the main event at the following editions of the ISDE in France and Chile respectively.

Competitors have travelled from as far away as Australia and Canada to take part in this historic race. Italy will field the most riders, with France, Germany and Great Britain also adding healthy numbers to the EVT entry list. Last year’s FIM Enduro Vintage Trophy was won by Swen Schiller from Germany who led home five of his compatriots as German riders dominated the top six places overall.
