When the 2019 FIM International Six Days of Enduro (ISDE) rolls into Portimao, Portugal from 11 to 16 November, it will also mark the fourth edition of the FIM Enduro Vintage Trophy too. First introduced at the ISDE in Spain back in 2016, the competition for enduro bikes from yesteryear has also enjoyed sharing the same stage as the main event at the following editions of the ISDE in France and Chile respectively.
This year’s FIM Enduro Vintage Trophy, which will start with a classic acceleration test midway through the week, will then include three days of riding taking in two days of enduro and cross-country tests before being part of the deciding motocross test on the final day.
With an entry close to one hundred and fifty riders from eleven different nations, everything is on course for the strongest FIM Enduro Vintage Trophy event to date. Competitors will travel from as far away as Australia and Canada to take part in this historic race. Italy will field the most riders, with France, Germany and Great Britain also adding healthy numbers to the pre-entry list.
Last year’s FIM Enduro Vintage Trophy was won by Swen Schiller from Germany who led home five of his compatriots as German riders dominated the top six places overall.
