The stage is set for the ninety-fourth edition of the FIM International Six Days of Enduro (ISDE) to take place at Portimao, Portugal – starting Monday 11 November. Australia enter the FIM’s longest-running motorcycle race as the defending champions in both the FIM World Trophy and FIM Women’s World Trophy categories, while Italy start as the team to beat in the FIM Junior World Trophy class.
Continuing to maintain its position as the most-prestigious race on the Enduro calendar, the FIM ISDE once again attracts both world-class competitors and enthusiastic amateur riders to the weeklong race. In total up over five hundred competitors from twenty-six nations will push their physical limits in the pursuit of national glory and personal pride.
Offering a fitting location for Enduro’s most-iconic and historic race, the picturesque Portimao and its surrounding Algarve region will determine the outcome of this year’s FIM ISDE. The modern, state-of-the-art facilities of the Autodromo International do Algarve will proudly act as the paddock headquarters for the weeklong race.
For the six days of racing, organisers have laid on three unique and distinct courses that will showcase the beauty and incredible Enduro trails the Algarve has to offer. In total, competitors will cover over fifteen hundred kilometres of riding during the event taking them from the world-renowned coastal resorts to the breathtaking mountain peaks of the Serra de Monchique range.
From sand to loose gravel, forestry tracks, mountainous rock and loamy dirt, riders will be tested on all variations of terrain before signing off this year’s race in glorious, action-packed style at the Kartòdromo Internacional do Algarve on day six.
Portugal will also mark the fourth edition of the FIM Enduro Vintage Trophy. First introduced at the FIM ISDE in Spain back in 2016, the competition for Enduro bikes from yesteryear has enjoyed growing support with over one hundred and twenty riders from nine countries participating. The four-day race begins on Wednesday 13 November.
