The activity started in 1932 in Takasago. In 1953 Takasako Chain Co. Ltd started to produce chain for motorcycles. In 1956 the sister company ceased to produce rims for bicycles and focused on products for motorcycle.
Since, both companies were certified “JIS indicating factory”, the highest quality label for Japanese industry : 1954 for chain, 1956 for rims.
In 1988, RK EXCEL exposed their products for the 1st time in the INTERMÖT show in Munich.
In 1989, the RK EXCEL company was created.
RK and EXCEL never stopped to develop new process to propose more and more performing products compliant with the highest standards.
RK is a very well known chain brand in road racing competition. But as the offroad products also provides outstanding performances, they are less well known in this universe.
